The Burlington Checker Club will participate in the Alamance Co.
Cedarock Park - "Preserving Our Heritage Festival" August
26th, 2006 10am-4pm
The
annual festival will feature demonstrations of turn-of-the-century skills
that were typical on a farm of that era including butter churning, soap making,
quilting & more. Antique tractors & "hit & miss" engines
will be on display.
Old-time children's games including checkers, sack races & egg toss. Concessions
available. Live music all day featuring Southeast Express,
playing
bluegrass & gospel. Come out & enjoy this fun, family-friendly event.

The crown jewel of the Alamance County Recreation and Parks Department,
Cedarock Park and Historical Farm is located off of NC49, about 6 miles
south of Interstate 85/40 Exit 145. Home to two Disc Golf courses,
several walking trails, beautiful scenery, and an historical farm,
Cedarock is a wonderful place to visit!
